Dear Little E,

I just don't know what to do. Your poor brother has a cough, runny nose, and keeps randomly spiking a temperature. This evening I tried the ear thermometer again and it said 102! Last night was rough he tossed and turned a while even though I gave him Tylenol before bed. Well at one point I woke up and he was pretty warm again so I gave him Motrin and he was cool the rest of the night. He woke up he looked and felt great so he went to school. Then an hour to two hours after school his temp spiked so more Motrin was given and he was back to normal. Then about 45 minutes ago I felt him and he was warm again so I gave him more Motrin. He started to act like he really didn't feel good so I put him in bed and now he is out. It feels like his temp is breaking. Son it is so hard being a parent and not knowing what to do when your kids sick. Specially when y'all are at a young age because you generally can't take anything. Most medicines are for ages 4 or 6 and all we can give is Tylenol or Motrin. Generally a visit to the doctor is a waste of time and uncomfortable when you don't feel good so I don't waste the time. This has been going on for 3 or 4 days now I'm not sure how much longer to wait for it to fix itself before taking him to the doctor. I'm trying really hard to learn all this so it will hopefully be a little easier when its your turn to go through this. I have a feeling it won't be though. A positive note to leave you with. This afternoon when I went to pick your brother up from school I walked in his class and the little kids were trying to talk to me. Then your brother comes up in the middle of the crowd put his hand on my belly and introduced you. He looked at all his friends and said "this is Everett!" It was so cute and he is so proud of you already. I love you sweet baby.

Love,
Momma
